The chance of beating aussie should samoa meet them aren't great, the previous games have told us that, it would only be a really really optimistic person who would give samoa a chance of toppling the team who will probably take the cup..again..

It'll be interesting to watch Samoa play Fiji.. Probably not as exciting as the T.S vs M.M.T though..

First we have to get past Ireland then Fiji.

Ireland will be tough but i think the boys in blue will have too much fiepower in the end. If the forwards can get the go forward like they did against Tonga then the backline should have enough ball to score tries out wide. I liked how the Toa got the ball out wide for UTai and Meli to score against Tonga. What impressed me is that they used up the sets and passed it at the right times.

If we beat Ireland, then it would be Fiji and that will be another tough game for the boys. But in saying that, the more games they play the better they will get. I said in an earlier post that i rated the Toa team better than the Kiwis. That hasn't changed and it would have been great to have seen them play against each other.

If we do get to the semifinals, well then bring it on. I'm sure the boys won't take a back step but it will be a big ask for them to knock over the best team in the world. At the moment Australia are on another level from the rest.

Go the Toa....

This was a match that only PI's can do... where else do you get intense pre-match entertainment with both teams performing their war cry's, playing hard hitting footy, both teams trying to hit the crap out of each other, but when the final whistle goes, everyone's homie's again like nothing happended!!! haaahahaha!

First of all big ups to toa on their win... I'm a die hard tamasi'i from way back... but ya gotta give props when props are due! I was really impressed w/ Vagana... led from the front...

To my boys in red, hardluck forsure!... gonna have to root for the remaining pacific teams in the comp now... but we still hella proud of the effort last night!... and I must still remind everyone... Mate Ma'a Tonga had to back up Monday's Irish game & play our arch rivals, Samoa only 4 bloody days later! unheard of in any WC/tournament, so shame on the organisers for doing that...

But yep, I was proud to be a polynesain after seeing that game! Hell, bloody palangi's trying to stir things up, media beat ups about fights and crowd's getting out of contol, extra security and all!?!? F that, from what I could see on TV, both supporters were laughing, dancing and having a bloody ball!

O ai le Toa?? T*O*A !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man what a game last night! Mad props to both teams for playing in good spirits and also the crowd as well- plenty of laughter, singing and dancing for all who attended. This match was FINAL like and you can only cringe and wonder how they all would've woken up this morning- I say SORE. Big Hits all game long and apart from a few head high's, spear tackles and that Lauaki Frustration kick that nearly sent Seuseu's into orbit, it was a game to remember and the best WC08 game to date.

Hope the Toa don't take the Irish too lightly esp after Tonga only just scraped through but I can see *fingers crossed* a semi spot for Samoa!

That was a great game to watch from across the ditch. There were lots of players I haven't seen play in a long time so alongside the intensity that was an added bonus. Definitely lots of dropped balls & niggles here & there but a great game. I wonder how the Samoan Fetu Womens team will go.
