Wellington's two most recent Kiwis-Kangaroos matches, in 2001 and 2002, drew 26,580 and 25,015 people respectively. Whilst last years Tri nations match against Great Britain only managed 16,401.
Amusingly only 7500 fans saw Canterbury vs Wellington in the Air New Zealand Rigby Cup semi-final last night which would usually get around 30,000.
