    World Cup Ticket Sales

OK so I have just discover what a PAX number is. Anyone who has tickets through ticketek look at the bottom left hand corner of the ticket. The PAX number is the amount of tickets printed.

     So here are mine:

Final (Bought a couple days after they came out) - 7975
Semi - (same day as above) - 1716
    SFQ - 456 (about 2 months ago)

I have tickets to Melbourne and Rocky aswell but they don't have PAX numbers. I know the main stand at rocky sold out months ago because i got the last 2 tickets : )

So someone was saying they bought tickets just the other day, so anyone who buys new tickets let us know the PAX number.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

I got mine to the final a few weeks back, and mine is 17844.

But I know alot of tickets have been sold since then as alot of areas are either sold out, singe seats only or limited seats available.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

The Daily telegraph yesterday said that more tickets had been sold to the RLWC final than the Centenary Test. They quoted a figure of about 25k that had been sold to the RLWC final.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

Yeh thats what i heard too. The WC ad must have spurred sales. I chjecked about 2 days before the Ad came out and the seats looked like this

Cat A - Single Seats only
    Cat B - Available
    Cat C - Available

I also checked and i could get 5 seats in a row in cat B and C

    Checked just last night

    Cat A - Alloc. Exausted
Cat B - Single Seats Only
    Cat C - Available

Won't be long before they sell out IMO.

It is well above 25K!! Over 50k.I think the Daily Telegraph should improve their info service!

    Here is the article

     http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/sport/nrl/story/0,26799,23670688-5006066,00.html

They were claiming 25k Queenslanders, does that include OS sales? If not then add at least another 10,000 I'd say so well over 2/3 full. Remamber many pple will; wait to see who is in the final before they buy.

The games I am more interetsed to see sales for are the Pool B/C and semis.

The final will sell out a long time before the tournament even kicks off. The semi in Brisbane will sell out too.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

Quite interesting to look at how many tickets must have already sold for the AUS v ENG fixture in Melbourne at the Telstra dome. If you select best available tickets for 2 adults, the only tickets left are in the lowest category. Thats very encouraging so far out from the event considering the advertising campaign was only launched this week.

That is going to be a real cracker of a game, the poms are going to take some beating.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

I've always said that most games will sell out, Sydney is the only city that may not. Good tickets will also become available again when the travel agencies hand back their unsold ones. But sales appear to be very encouraging if not exceeding expectations at this early stage.

    Re: World Cup Ticket Sales

Well i have said from day 1 all QLD games will sell out and Melbourne aswell. If melbourne sells out that will be the biggest crowd of the tournament seeing as teltra dome has 4,000 more seats than suncorp. I also think the opening ceremony and semi at SFS will sell out and Samoa V Tonga at CUA. The rest should get good crowds, the canberra game should get atleast 20k. I am really bummed that Perth didn't get a game, even if it were fiji soctland or somewthing like that. There is still a wanting for league in Perth, look at the WA reds, they get 2000+ to every game this year and that is in a 2nd grade comp, interesting to note better than most WAFL crowds.

It is, mind you there have only been 2. Still though nice to see and hopefully they can grow.

Yeh they are doing alright, I've heard most of their players are WA locals. I hope by 2010 they are playing in QLD cup, Jim Beam is good for the moment but QLD cup is another step up. What i would like to see is a Perth and Maybe Adelaide team in toyota cup, don't know whether it's possbile seeing as it runs parellell with the NRL season.

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea, when the Reds get back in NRL, they should have a Victoria V WA state of origin, who knows? maybe one day it could be equal to NSW V QLD.
