Going to the England v PNG game and will be in Townsville for about a week.

How far is Dairy Farmers Stadium from the CBD?

Also best places to go to celebrate an England win?

    Re: Townsville

There's gotta be heaps of pubs in Townsville? Surely they will all be open for celebrations.

    Re: Townsville

Townsville's got plenty of bars to hit after the game most located down one cetral strip, Mad Cow or the NQ Cowboys Leagues club will probably be favourite game day I reckon, lets hope we're celebrating a good win to kick things off !!!

Dairy Farmers is about 25 minutes from the CBD, but you can get return buses from outside the Leagues club for less than $10 return that run every 10/15 minutes.

Forget the lobster, more like prime English roast beef! Just so long as we don't look like puddings by the end of the game.

Just read that ,,, i am pissssing meself, what a place for the poms to go, make it your own lads, the mad cow,,, hehehe

Look on a real serious note, if you get the chance to visit a croc farm, make sure you do, those suckers are massive, you wont believe your eyes,

I went to one near rockky,( rockhampton) and this croc rose up on his front legs and was taller than the 6 foot guy feeding him, and near 6 metres long.. you have no idea of how big they are on t/v,,, you never go into the water up there after seeing that,,, hehe

Yeh have been to corana croc farm (the one near rocky) twice myself, there are some big freakin scary dinosaurs there. We even had a tv show about the farm for a couple of weeks, one of the younger crocs, rocky i think his name was, about 3/4 metres long, broke out of his pen and got into an older crocs site and killed him. Mind you the croc he killed was the biggest they've had about 6 metres, his skin now hangs on one of the walls there, great place for tourists. Also had snappy tom, a croc that was about 2 metres long and was psyco as hell! If you get the chance check it out.
