you got it right but don't forget that money is everything and the main reason why these blokes play the game and thats their income and future . If you get an offer from the kiwis with a load and you're eligible ...you have to take it as it might be the only and the opportunity for your career to be up there . Tonga & Samoa are only a pride thing, just to represent them if you do not make it in aussie or nz and the Sa & Tongans don't have the money to pay these guys as its what they worth in the game . Instead of blaming the players why don't we look at the big mans (nz & aussies) for offering the tongans & Samoans spots in the team . Moimoi had played for Tonga and he did it with all his heart ...i think nz shouldn't or the RL should not allow another country to approach him or even talk and pick him even if he's eligible . The guys that have played for nz and don't make it anymore cannot be picked by Samoa and Tonga . Thats fair for everyone and the RL or the Tongan or Samoan RL will have to be given a minimum wages for the players close to what players are getting if palying for nz or aussie .

Honestly why do that 2 the Kiwis jersey..

If your hearts not in it, dont wear it..

dont disrespect  the likes of a Wiki and Jones who were so proud 2 wear that jersey..

But yeah I dont know were u got ur sources from..

Because most of these players are kiwis cuz!

And Henry Faafili dont even play league anymore he play union for manu samoa..

Frank Pritchards playing for the kiwis, so is Sonny Bill, Steve Matai and Iosia Soliola...

And Vangana is past his best playing days..

Most of the players that are playing for Manu Samoa only do it because they have an unlikely chance of making the kiwis..

Whichs why the samoan boys in the kiwis are staying in the kiwis coz they have a jersey, most of them was born in New Zealand 2..

They kiwis just as much as the next guy..

If they can play for Samoa good on them!

Most of them are at the end of their careers, Vagana has played with pride in the kiwi jersey and now has a chance to be invovled in this world cup through another channel - Im sure if anybody else had that chance they'd do the same thing.

Wc admin want the stongest teams possible, as its to late to change things now, lets get things right next year

As for current kiwis wanting to play for Samoa. Shut the door on your way out please!

we'll just have to find more white skined Mannerings

Goooo the kiwis with samoan heritage.....I bet they were just kiwis when they won the tri nations

Re: Sonny Bill, Steve Matai, David Fa'alogo and co set to turn their backs on the kiwis and rep Toa Samoa at the Cup 08''

Man what an awsome debate!! Firstly the RULES all i can say is rugby league has become so inconsistent in all aspects of the game from management, administration, refereeing and im talking about international governing bodies not the local bodies grassroots AUSTRALIA and NZ is the main culprits, amongst other parts these are the 3 main areas where inconsistency starts from they fuckup the game so bad that it now makes the game *** watching and even more *** to play because these are the arseholes who are swapping and changing there fricking rules that they bloody created just to suit situations occuring at that time,so obviously as a player your gonna be frustrated and think if these guys who are suppose to be improving our game in all areas to benefit the future of league are fucking toying with it are we gonna be (QUOTE SBW FOOTYSHOW) dogz and take orders or standup and say nah bro get effd im my own person and i love rugby league so much that i will go somewhere that has consistency league or union. So what im saying is rules are there for two reasons 1 is for consistency and discipline and 2 is just to be bloody broken no matter what and thats a fact its proven in all aspects of the worlds circulation and human ways hence why these guys who tamatoa said could pledge there allegiance to samoa and now as it seems as of current naming of squads NZ,SAMOA and AUSTRALIA some of these players have done exactly that and have been named in the SAMOAN SQUAD and if you notice alot have not been named in the KIWI squad so what the hell does that say huh????? Just look at the kiwi squad still made up of samoans tongans and maoris/pakehas WHAT IS A NZER OR OZZIE??????? il tell you kiwi leaguie and the rest of you singleminded dumbarses who had a weak as argument for tamatoas DREAMTEAM its a whole variety of different ethnicitys who are really not from nz or aussie ie pakehas scottish, english, welsh, irish, croat, so to be saying that these guys should stay with 1 country only is just bloody stupid go have a look at grassroots league and count how many simon mannerings there are playin the game here in AOTEAROA il tell you *** ALL so if you take these samoans, maoris, tongans niueans, raroz, fijians, pngs, out of the kiwiside who the hell you gonna choose from huh??? No 1 mate coz there wont be a bloody team. So look whoz really laughing we got an ozzie legend trying to help our sad state of NZRL W.BENNETT and a legend KIWI S.KEARNEY who now sounz more like an ozzie coaching a team which i dont rate at all and all these samoans and tongans who if they arent picked for the kiwis or ozzies will go and play for the motherland TAMATOA your team woznt a dream team bro but you could of told us ya cuz was gonna go play and learn from da man TANA UMAGA and walk out on the game, and a contract which was legally binding SONNY BILL WILLIAMS is a true example of what im saying about inconsistency and RULES being broken from the top so guys get off ya high horse what would youz have said if there was a maori team in this world cup do you honestly think benji, packer, and all the other half maoris in nz or oz would play for the kiwis bro i doubt it. GO SAMOA do it for all indigenous people Aboriginals (australians) Maoris (new zealand) your team is MEAN MAORI MEAN............

I agree with your forum New Zealand accepting the rules if forcing them to loose all their key players for other Islander countries such as Tonga, Fiji, Samoa

Re: Sonny Bill, Steve Matai, David Fa'alogo and co set to turn their backs on the kiwis and rep Toa Samoa at the Cup 08''

I think to make the World cup more interesting players should be allowed to represent whatever country they want GIVEN they can prove they're heritage. So, although I would like to see Sonny Bill, Steve Matai, David Fa'alogo and co represent the kiwis I think they should still be allowed to represent Samoa at the RLWC without it having any affect on their future international chances. Players such as Fijian born Petero Civoniceva and Jarryd Haynes should be given the chance to represent their native country but still be eligible for Australia in test matches such as the ANZAC test. Same goes for other players from different backgrounds such as Israel Folau, Manu Vatuvei, Willie Mason, Anthony Tupou, Hazem El Masri, Robbie Farah etc

I also think it would be MAD to introduce an aboriginal team to the world cup because the amount of talent there is growing and getting better and better. I doubt it would ever happen but just an idea....
