    Re: Challenge Cup

Speak for yourself Oikee... living in germany I now know what good beer tastes like... but I never liked fosters, it was just way too bitter for me, which was wierd for a Lager. But each to their own. I think with the "cold" the beer gets colder than warmer in England, It certainly did Friday night at Haven! :D LOL.

The pint sizes are great, 2x that of aussie beers, wonderful thing that and the price aint that much more actually so its pretty good value for money considering. I did have in barrow a Cumbrian style bangers and mash... man, I am hooked!

Anyway this is a link to my YouTube video from Friday night, here . Enjoy.

It was a Cumberland Sausage, was very nice, much better than the stuff I have had down south. the mash was good and the peas, and the gravy superb. Like I said am hooked on it. Washed down with some nice beer or 6, and with the RL on TV was good. It was nice being in a part of England that was not obsesed with football, but it is, as anywhere in the UK, hard not to escape it in some capacity. As Marve said on the weekend, Welcome to the life of and english RL fan.

    Re: Challenge Cup

Probably why i thought the Fosters was ok, i am used to drinking fourx bitter here in queensland, but like you have said druzik, the pints are king sized.

I loved going to the super market and my trolley was full of beer, had no room for the groceries.

Good video, how they wear that pink is beyond me.

    Re: Challenge Cup

They're pretty shocking, particularly with green and white shorts. The old green and white jersey was a bewty. Why they did that is beyond me. But at least they had an merchandising chair at the ground! It was funny seeing Chris Beatty run around in pink. The crowd gave them hell too, with calls of Mammy's boys.

Yeah, germany's the same, Can pick up a case (20 1/2 liter bottles) of beer for 5 euros. Can't go wrong with that.

    Re: Challenge Cup

Marv wanted Leeds, Wigan or St's too, but I think if there is to be an ESL upset its Barrow against Wakey.

Haven at wigan is gonna bee a rough assignemnt for them.

    Re: Challenge Cup

Marv rekons Barrow performed well against Wakey but just superior fitness got them overb in the end. So spud who ya hoping for in the 1/4's? I think there could be a bit of an upset witrh Haven piping wigan... maybe another NL derby with an NL team in the semis?

    wakefield v oldham

    hull kr v st helens

    leeds v wigan

    bradford v hull
