    Re: Challenge Cup

rochdale hornets..they are only 8 or so miles away,

all the want to acheive in life is too beat us and would rather beat us in our pre season 'law cup' game than win the league...as a club they've not won anything for 90 years, their board have never had any ambition, they have no fans but they do own half of their stadium..their old stadium, the athletics ground last game was a derby game which we battered them by 50+...the largest ever attendance at that ground was for a oldham game against wigan in the challenge cup..

to be blunt, they are our bitches lol

    Re: Challenge Cup

    Hahaha... LOL.

That is halarious. I guess then by default the Rorhback Hronets RFLC would be rivals for you too, they have some links with Rochdale. You should try and convince your guys to do a tour to Germany play 3 games say, Rohrbach, Karlsruhe and Bad Richenhalle! See the best of the west and south germany has to offer, then do a quick trip over to Prague and play the Beroun Club.

    Re: Challenge Cup

They got their promotion kits... since they never got promoted then they needed to off load them and so the Rorhbach Hornets got them. Home and away Kits.

    Re: Challenge Cup

Cause they payed a crap load of money to the beeb to cover it. Where they have to pay for the rights to the RL. Beeb only covers the Challenge cup rounds, Sky has the SL.

    Re: Challenge Cup

in terms of attendance @ a single sporting event, the 2007 challenge cup final was the 3rd largest in the world with an attendance of 84,241........
the number 1 & 2 spot was taken by the AFL GRAND FINAL @ 97,303 & the FA cup final @ 89,826..

the super bowl is all the way down in 11th with less that 75,000 and only about 180 fans infront of the ESL grand final

as for NFL in general,i've been to a game live and i can confirm it's the dullest 4 hours i've every spent and as with most american sports you don't really need to watch all of it...just the last quarter..

Are you talking for that year or ever? I am sure there have been larger crowds than that in Oz for other games outside of 2007. So when is the ESL GF moving to Wembley? ;)

Anyway. Spud I will be in the UK for the Challenge Cup on the 18-20th April. Am seeing Whitehaven v Lezignan with Marv at Whitehaven. You gonna be in that neck of the woods at all?
