    Re: World Cup tickets

They are all big stadiums, so hopefully if they sell out then they alone will make a profit for the RLIF! Townsville is a +30k stadium and Suncorp and Melbourne are +50k as well.

    Re: World Cup tickets

I dont think any games are sold out yet, the final may be close. I was checking tickets for melbourne the other day and cat 1 are still available so that ones a long way to selling out. It is early though, and i think once the WC talk gets going and theres some advertising most games will sell out. I have said before i think all QLD games will sell out, the final and semis definatley, gc defintaly, townsville will sell out and i have tickets to rockhampton's game and they are half sold out allready, despite the fact that i have seen or heard no local advertising for the game or the RLWC in general, so the word must be getting around. I also think melbourne will come close to selling out aswell as some sydney/NSW games.

So Just estimating the crowd sizes

    Suncorp - 53000 x 2
    Townsville - 30000 x 2
    Rockhampton - 8000
    GC - 25000 x 2

    Melbourne - 40000

So if my estimations are close the WC will get 224000 people or there abouts just from 8 games. So i think this WC will make a profit.

    Re: World Cup tickets

I bought tickets for a group of 18 of us last night for the game in Melbourne. Category 2, all cat 1 tickets gone. Got tickets on hold for all other games, but when I rang as I was trying to book for a group, they hadnt got everything set up??? They are ringing me back 9am Aus time to confirm prices, categories and take my card details. Will feel better when they have rung back and confirmed!

    Re: World Cup tickets

for the melbourne game i've opted to pick up the tickets 24hours before the game..

but for the rest i've used the easyticket option which is a .pdf file and you print your own ticket off....which is cool..lol

I booked my Millenium Magic tickets from Oz and picked them up in Cardiff just before I walked into the stadium..

Confirm the opening times of the ticket outlet... don't want to arrive to find it closed.

Email your e-tickets to a hotmail account (or something similar) so that if you lose your print out when traveling out here.. you can print out another in an internet cafe in Oz.

    Re: World Cup tickets

I don't know whether im a fan of the print off at home thing, i mean what if you missed out on tickets so you bought some online. You turn up to the game and find someone else sitting in your seat and realise that some joe-blow has bought a set of tickets and printed multiple copies and sold them to multiple people. Could this happen?

    Re: World Cup tickets

the print your own tickets have a bar code on them so i assume that once one has been scanned any other tickets with the same bar code would get flashed up as dodgy....

i guess i just have to make sure i get in first...lol

    Re: World Cup tickets

Hello jack, some good games there, dont know anything about sydney except the traffic is horrendous, but public transport is good to parra, and i am sure there will be a flow going that way? In brisbane you will get to the games easily, all free public transport for the games too, i think? Everyone just hops on the trains leaving every few minutes to and from roma street.Or if you have a hotel near you just walk home. I bet you get back to england and rave about the coast set up. See if i am right?

    Re: World Cup tickets

Forgot to mention t/v coverage, you are in league land, thats all they play on t/v , you wont miss a thing, probable see more league on t/v than you have ever seen. Channel 9 big time, fox sports hotels and clubs, they all watch only league world cup time.

    Jack GB:

Should be pretty easy. The sydney football stadium usually has free buses running to central~ 10 mins away. You then should have express trains every 10-20 mins (either the country trains or suburban trains) from central to paramatta and Penrith. Usually if you have an event ticket you don;t need a train ticket, but check these details closer to the events. The Sydney transport system as been up the creek recently.

Brsibane, has pretty good transport to all parts of the city from the stadium. The trains can take a bit of time as they are all all-stops ones, but they run pretty late and run on time. :) Milton station is like a 5 min walk from Suncorp and Roma st is maybe a 20 min walk. Though with the wealth of great pubs and restaurants in an around that part of brisie who wants to go home! Stay and celebrate or comiserate your teams fortunes.

Glad to hear of your success, could you pass on the secret as I cannot make any sense of the ticketing website.

As it appears I must be totally stupid, step by step instructions would help

    Many thanks  H
