    Re: Wales Players

If all play thats a good side so far. Hopefully with a few of the Celtic players we are looking at a real competitive squad.

I have my jersey and will be cheering them on at the World Cup.

let's just hope that wales qualify and the game kicks on

really hope players who have played for wales before don't try and get into the england team eg cunningham

and with him in your team anything is possible!!

Wales who are 2000 World Cup Semi-Finalists should definantly make it.

    ... and 1995!

Scotlands win last year was a bit of an anomoly I assume, going on this years home nations form (where Wales beat scotland and also wone the tournament) I would say they will be the for sure.

    Re: Wales Players

Yeh it's a great debate I hope they get a really strong team. Also as Celtic Crusaders rise up the league there will be a better quality of Union converts who could perhaps add something to the squad. And don't forget about the Celtic players who will qualify through the 3 year residency rule-Jace Van ***, Damian Quinn, Tony Duggan could all handle themselves in Super League I feel.

    Re: Wales Players

I wouldn't be writing off the Scottish side just yet!  They aren't as talented as the possible (and I stress possible) Welsh line-up but they certainly played a lot better as a team in last year's fixture.  Will that PNG fixture get the Welsh up to speed?

Perhaps the best thing about the WC Qualifiers coming up is that there are so many games which are very hard to judge.  Scotland v Wales, Ireland v Lebanon, the two defeated sides against each other. And then Samoa against whichever of those four teams ends up in the repecharge finals.  I wouldn't want to have to predict who'll come out on top in any of those games!

    Re: Wales Players

11 players from NL2 champions Celtic Crusaders have been picked in the

Welsh squad for the WC qualifiers.

I saw them play at Oldham a couple of months ago and in the 2nd half they were a different class, saw touches of Super League (i kid you not).

I reckon they're nailed on to get a place in the Super League, which hopefully would lead to a bigger pool of players for Wales to choose from.

    Re: Wales Players

I think wales will be really competitive in the WC maybe even make the semis although im tipping the semis will be AUS V FRA, NZL V PNG, prove me wrong england but i think there'l be an upset or 2 this WC and i think PNG V ENG is the best bet.

Also great to see wales getting involved in a non-wc qualifier test match this next month V PNG, it'l be a great showcase of where these two teams are.
