    Non WC games.

OK so there are many games out there being played as friendlies or part of tours that are not WC related. I will keep things updated as they come in.

Friday sees Estonia and Latvia playing a Friendly in Tallin. Australian Unpire Steve Davis has been apponted to control the match. with 5 languages present on the field be interesting to see how he goes.

good work dru, but i think the result was the other way round!

Latvia won 54-38!! i was shocked initially as i thought estonia were a stronger side, but i believe latvia ran away with it after a few injuries to key estonians! this is a good thread to keep going, esp as we have the png tour going at the end of the month!

yes just found out it was Latvia... the story is written a bit ambiguously. Either way its a great result for the Baltic countries.

    Re: Non WC games.

Two more "international" games left this year.

Morocco vs. BARLA at Cavaillon on Saturday 8 December - http://www.ffr13.com/1-14317-Detail-d-une-actualite.php?Id=355

This looks like the French Based Moroccans from the Elite comp.

Germany "State of Origin" of such.

    Germany Residents vs. Germany Exiles.

This is also corresponding with an annual general meeting of the German Rugby Legaue from what I understand, some training in the morning from 11 am and then after lunch the game. At the meeting some of the issues to be discussed are next years inaugural domestic comp, the international calendar for next year and a possible new Uniform for the German team. I will be there to get some pics and film it. So should be a good day out.

    Re: Non WC games.

I think that the Moroccans can thrash the BARLA team. It's being played near Avignon which is near to Villeneuve club I think. Anyway, go Morocco!

    Edit:

    HT BARLA 16-4 Morocco.

    FT BARLA 52-4 Morocco.

How did they collapse in the second half? Did anyone watch the match?

Portugal vs. Japan, Sydney (venue TBA still) Australia, 06 February 2008.

Will keep updated as more info comes it. This is an opportunity for all you who are complaining about there not being enough IRL to get out there and support up and comming teams.

Thanks Druzik. Post details if and when you can. I would derive a lot of pleasure watching this match while throwing back a few Asahi's. It is a shame it can be so difficult to find out about these matches.

    Cheers

    Re: Non WC games.

Mate check my website as I keep track of these things as they come in on a weekly basis, sometimes update more than once a week. I am still awaiting details from SA, Serbia and Italy but its looking like next year there will also be

Italy v SA - Two tests in Rome most probably

SA v Germany - In padua as geramny and SA are both in Italy for a 9's tournament with France possibly also going.

France v SA - Is also being roumoured.

Germany has four matches next year looks like, the two traditional ones against the Czechs in Frankfurt, against Serbia in Belgrade and one against a RLEF XIII for their captains retirement. They are still looking to have a match against the Austrians though this is a bit tricky and of course the above SA game.

Oh and also the roumour that BARLA will eb in italy, so the Simone Franchini 9's has expanded to 4 nations this year from 3 the last two years.

    The website BTW is http://www.rugbyleagueinternationalscores.com
