Yeah I was in Paris for the France NZ game. It was the RU stadium in Paris that stade paris play out of. It has about 12,000 capacity and pretty good view of the whole ground. If you want to see what it was like see my YouTube vid below.

Considering that there was a rail strike the people that made it was a good turn out. The french like to make noise thats for sure. I haven't seen the Toulouse or Perpignan stadiums so can't comment there.

Yeh i know all about loving to beat the poms, i am an aussie with some french, scotish, irish and german blood, 1/4 french not much of the rest but its still in there somewhere. Personally i don't mind the poms, nothing better than beating them though. I have met 6 poms in the last 2 years through a player exchange program, the first 2 used to bag us because they won the ashes that year and australia didn't even win the tri-nations, take note that england didn't even make the final!
Why not play it in a 20000+ seat stadium and see if they can get a 15000+ crowd.
I have used my entire budget and time constraints wisely for the WC this year to see the french play. I have tickets to Rocky's game ofcourse and the SFQ at gold coast so unless they get beaten twice i will see them. Also got tickets to Australia V England and the brisbane semi and final. I can't wait.

yeh im really hoping the french get to to skilled park semi final qualifier(and win it) cos im going that game, and although im not a massive fan of the french in general (english prejudice....) id love the league boys to do good!
how good woulg an england vs france and australia vs nz semi final be!!
Rgd the eng vs fance test if it doesnt go paris i wouldnt mind it being in toulouse. with them applying for superleague it would give us english a chance to see what the city is all about n if they get strong support. if they cant get over the 10,000 (ehich u need for a license) maybe its a bit early for a toulouse team, wait till 2012. if they get a good crowd it would be some good ammo for pursuading the super league to let them in!
I read that the bbc will be televising an england international as part of the tv rights, do u think it will be this one? i dont think eng have any other fixtures.... i really want to go to this game.....

Wow the beeb showing a game that is not the Union... that's huge... sarcasm... I guess it must be that game, though I think England has a warm up against Ireland the week after the ESL GF.
Tolouse would be pretty cool to go to. Be interesting to see where they are in terms of their SL bid... though I am not sure having them in would be such a good idea anyway, not at the expense of the Elite.

Jack GB:i see what your saying. I deally the elite needs to be strengthened to accomodate a strong catalans and toulouse. I would like the sl to work with the french and say something along the lines of toulouse and catalans having a franchise till 2019. the elite have 10 years to build strongly, hopefully with some money from tours and the wc if the international scene pics up. then in 2019 rebrand the elite and include catalans and toulouse. maybe call it superleague france or something. the rebranding could capture the minds of the french, much like the rebranding of football in oz to the a league has! (altough i hate using tat pathetic sport as a positive example!!)
Yeh this is basically what i have said a few times, i think it is a great idea Jack. Built strength with league through catalans and maybe toulouse then after it has built alot of popularity in france and has gained momentum, take catalans and toulouse out of SL and put them in a slightly re-structured, more high profile version of the current elite. I have said the same thing for NZ, if and when NZ get a 2nd team, use that to build up the popularity in NZ and then launch a high profile, well structured domestic comp just for kiwi teams. Start with soem high profile kiwis playing and see if eventually you can get most kiwis back in NZ aswell as a touch of aus, eng and PI players. Now the example i used for this is soccer in australia, before australia qualified for the WC, nobody cared, afterwards however, soccer was riding a wave of popularity and on the back of this launched the a-league. Now the a-league was just basically the same old NSL that had been unsucessful but it was glorified by the soccer guys and now is attracting lots of fans. Now this is what france and NZ could do, and any other country for that matter, get a wave of momentum goin and take full advantage of it.

Agree with you jim, but as for new zealand, i really like the fact that they are in the n.r.l and would love to see it stay this way, as they do not have the numbers like we do here in oz, they ride the back of the n.r.l and they are happy to do this, i mean the n.r.l are happy to do this, why, because it makes the n.r.l look international, and keeps the talent flowing, just remember where new zealand league was before the help of our coaches and experience gave them, remember all the dropped balls, keep new zealand envolved, we have them and love seeing them play over here, and i would never do anything to stop this,,,,,,, grow them yes, then they can dominate, also they need players from oz to help out, good. I love this comp, and dont want anything in the future to harm the teams.
