I'm Kiwi hard bro... but also proud of my Tongan roots...

Although I'll be supporting Tonga 1st, naturally i'll be keeping an eye on the Kiwi lads as well mate... they're prob the closest there is to a combined Pacific Island/Maori team anyway lol!!!!

Like the Tonga-Kiwi game this week, I want both teams to do well but know at the end of the day most Tongans and Samoans will go for the Kiwi's should they progress further. If anything, a DRAW this Saturday will be fine hahahahaha

But honestly... what else was expected... Tonga had 3 days to prepare... Kiwi's been together since last week, with most the squad taking part in the All Golds match.

I put up a post regarding the Kiwi v Tonga match on hot topics... & as I said there, although the score did not reflect it, I feel Tonga will be all the better for today's hit out... By the time Tonga started to put things together... the Kiwi's (who mind you, looked really sharp today... and the coach looks to have them primed and ready for next weeks big clash w/ Aussie! also, they were very smart to have 2 hard-nut warm ups against Tonga and the Maori...and I don't think OZ have had any??...c'mon KIWI!)

Jim Dymock has 9 days to get the boys firing and ready for the fighting Irish... by them the lads should have had ample to get get familiar w/ each other... hopefully deal to the Irish... and get ready for the real war...

After watching the Kiwis/Tonga game i think both samoa and tonga need to be wary of Ireland before focusing solely on each other. Ireland are not to be underestimated, coming from a die hard Toa Samoa fan lol

 The core tongan squad has been together for at least a couple of weeks but training doesn't really compare to playing a real game. Tonga will have 2 games under their belt before they play Samoa whose first game will be against Tonga so I think Tonga will have that experience as an advantage.

Is this Tongan team the same team that helped Tonga qualify for the world cup? Im guessing with all these new big name players, they would've replaced the players who would've played in the qualifying stages?

i agree with yu DECULY ! ummm 2000 the irish were in the same pool as samoa, nz maori and scotland ! they ended up thrashing samoa and maoris 30 - 16 ! and just beat scotland so i consider them a threat ! but the main game for both teams is the battle between the hard-hitting samoans and solid running tongans ! hhaha ! hope tonga come out with there best team and do some damage on this experienced samoan squad ! also yu guys need too check out this guy Joel Taufa'ao ! Hes a good player ! first five eigth back up for eddie paea buh i think it should be the other way around ! anyways tonga is what it is ! and well jim dymock ? man this guy is a great coach well see what he comes up with at the world cup ! i cant wait !

Well I will have to go with the hamoans because they smart rugby players and they have more hearts. And for tonga man the way we play against the kiwis was shocking so it makes me think it is never a good team when a tongan play next to a tongan, they only famous and good because the white boys help them. and im just being honest im a proud tongan but our team has to many super stars. And trust me Samoa will win they too good

I'm on the fence on this one because I know that these guys a PROUD Tongans esp being born there and all but you have to look at it from the other side too, they only played for NZ less that 12 months ago.

Samoa knew these circumstances 2 yrs out and players pulled out of the NZ team in order to be eligible for Samoa.

Rules are rules I guess but what would've happened had they been selected for NZ - Another ANTHONY TUPOU scenario.

It's either one or the other.
