I think you have misread a comment. I have always supported what you have just stated.Expansion is the only way to go with smart naming of new clubs, to in some way link with past clubs that have been killed off /merged as a result of the SL war! The comment you are directly referring to is concerned with expansion only. No deletion of existing clubs is mentioned. We agree Broncomaniac!
