    Rugby League International Scores

http://www.rugbyleagueinternationalscores.com has undergone a revamp in recent weeks. With feed back from the online forum members a revised structure of the site has been done. This is something that I will look to do every 6 months or so.

    What is RLIS?

Its a website I set up last year to keep track of all top/eleite level scores from all countries around the worls as well as international results for all countries, This includes WC games, Full Internationals, tour games and A and B teams. The News emphasis is not on NRL or ESL but on the other countries getting some of their bigger mews out there.

    Features:

    • An about section why the site exists.
    • News from countries around the world
    • Links to great photos that I and others have taken from out travels around the world watching TGG e.g. South Africas domestic comp, European Shield 2007, WC warm up matches Cumbria vs. USA, Challenge Cup games, Greece vs. Scotland Uni Studnets in Rhodes, PNG Residents v Internationals Origin match and last years PNG tour and both France Tests.
    • Domestic results, featuring Leagues, Knockout comps and Representative matches all done in National alphabetical order and round by round results with tables.
    • International results for 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. I am starting to get fixtures come in for 2009 already so expect that to be up withing the next couple of months as well! And links to official rankings of nations.
    • A links and videos page... so some nice useful links I find, explaining the rules or other forums and some great You Tube vids I have found over the last couple of years.
    • Spus's blog, so a regular poster here Spud runs a blog where you can discuss specific matters.
    • Forum, we have a forum as well where its emphasis is more on the international than domestic scene.

So have a look, the site is updated at least once a week but more usually twice or three times a week. If you have a favourite country then come in and keep track of what they are doing.

    Current competitions.

The month of April is quiet on the international front, January-march saw many internationals and tour matches played. Current domestic comeptitions are:

    • Cook Islands - The CINRL is 3/4 through the season and its a real dog fight among the top 4 teams. Last years champions the Avatiu Eels have Tupapa and Aroangi hot on their heals.
    • France - comming to the end of their domestic season, the Elite and Lord Derby cups will be ending in mid May
    • Lebanon - In round 17 out of 20, its a tight contest among the top 3 teams.
    • Serbia - The University chmpionships are on at the moment. This is to decide the places for the University team to compete in the Serbian National championships in May.
    • South Africa - Recently finished their domestic season and are not preparing for two tours. The Central and Main Bulls will be traveling to Italy for the Simone Francini 9's where they will take on the likes of Italy, Germany, Scotland and France. The South African national team will be touring through the UK in October with tour matches against Northshire, Cumbria, Yorkshire and then a test against BARLA in Hull. So come out and see them.
    • Australia - NRL Considered the toughest competition of any sport in the world, in the beginning 5 rounds of their season, culminates in the World Cup at the end of the year.
    • England - ESL, already about a quarter of the way  through their season, up there with the Aussies with a highly professional comp and have the current world Club Champions - Leeds Rhinos.
