    oikee:
mat rogers is playing the best football of his career now he is back in league.

Rogers is damaged goods since Lewsey almost cut him in half a few years back. I hope Mat enjoys his retirment in the NRL, he never really amounted to much playing proper rugby and is now taking life easy back in little league.

    :D

You are kidding yourself mate! Rugby League is a supremely more skillfull and tougher game than Rugby Union could ever hope to be! I have played both.I guarantee you have not played both codes!

    Re: This great game

I thought to keep the roll on of promoting our great game Rugby League to inform you if you do not already know that the University Rugby League World Cup 2008 is on in Brisbane starting 5 July. Attached link is the schedule of games  http://worldcup.aurl.com.au/. This is in our centenary year and also the year the RLWC is held here as well. One success story out of the Student World Cup was back in 2005, a young Jordon Atkin was a student playing for Australia. He now is the Titans winger and scored 4 tries on his 1st grade debut

I know its not NRL quality, but I believe is important to keep the game going and develop it into a real World sport. I know the poms are trying very hard to make it a goer in Europe, with holding the European Shield. The need to get this game in schools world wide would be fantastic. There have been too many failure stories about developing nations. Exposure has to be the key, this is where we all help. I

Thanks for that Roachey73, great site. Are you involved at? I remember being involved with the Australian University team that was selected from the Intervarsity carnival of 1981 or 1982 in Newcastle. That was a great carnival!
